Chopper Tree Service began serving customers in 1965 under the ownership of Howard Gudmundson. Howard started out in the industry chopping wood for firewood and selling it during the Winter months, earning him the nickname Chopper. He believed in keeping things simple by providing quality service at a reasonable rate to his customers.

In 1979, Howard followed the Dutch elm disease to Colorado and began servicing the Denver metro area. In 1991, Chopper Tree Service came under the ownership of Keith Koppman. Keith had worked with Howard for a few years before he decided to buy the business from him. Keith, with the help of his wife Susan, incorporated the business in 1998. We are fully licensed and insured with both general liability and Workers Compensation.

Today, the goal of Chopper Tree Service, Inc. is the same: To provide our customers with quality work at a competitive price. We take pride in our work and are committed to satisfying our customers. We care about the health of every tree, shrub, and bush.
